Yarn Story Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 23, 2026
Fncore, Inc. built the Yarn Story app as an ad-supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Fncore, Inc. at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.
Your game progress is backed up to your own private iCloud storage, which is provided by Apple and which we cannot access.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.
Ads
To be able to offer our services for free, we embed third-party ads within our mobile app using the Google AdMob SDK. Data of our mobile users remains anonymous to us.
To improve the performance of AdMob, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect certain information from apps, including: IP address (used to estimate the general location of a device); non-user-related crash logs (used to diagnose problems and improve the SDK, and for advertising and analytics); user-associated performance data such as app launch time, hang rate, or energy usage; a Device ID; advertising data such as advertisements the user has seen; and other user product interactions such as app-launch taps and video views, used to improve advertising performance.
Tracking
We do not track you. The app never asks Apple for permission to track, and it never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not use your device’s advertising identifier to follow you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Because we never ask, iOS does not release that identifier to the app, and the ads you see are not matched to your interests. They are chosen from the context of the app and the general region the request came from.
Where local law requires consent for advertising and measurement — the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom among them — we ask through Google’s User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested, and we honour that choice.
Notifications
The app can send you a notification when a new chapter of levels is released. It is off unless you turn it on: after you have played for a while the game asks whether you would like to know, and only if you say yes does iOS show its own permission prompt. Saying no, to either one, is the end of it — nothing is sent and nothing is registered.
If you say yes, your device registers with Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, so that a message can reach it. We do not receive, store or keep a list of device tokens: announcements are published to a topic that granting devices subscribe to, and we cannot address, identify or single out any individual device through it. We use it only to tell you about new levels.
You can turn notifications off at any time in your device’s Settings, under Notifications, without affecting anything else in the game.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
Log Data
As you use the Service, the third-party services described above receive standard technical information about your device. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, which is used to estimate the general region you are in, the device model, the operating system version, the version of the app you are running, and the time and date of your use of the Service.
We do not run a crash reporting service of our own. The crash and performance information described under Ads above is collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf, and are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.
